There is a very useful website which checks in a few seconds if a site is down or not.  I don't suppose I can post the link here but it's called Is It Down Right Now (dot com).

Looks like it's been sorted and loading at normal fast speed for me

Can take hours.... sometimes days to fully propogate around the world if taken completely down.
