Hi guys, have you ever had a day where you just can't get to book a prossie to get your end away.
Late yesterday afternoon (after a crap day) i had the urge for a shag and punt.

I have managed to find 2 reliable regulars in the past 8 months and one of them is always my Plan B in case a never-seen-before whore lets me down which happens fairly regularly in east Anglia, to me anyway. IMO its crucial to be organized as the one commodity that you don't usually have is time.  So fucking around asking stupid questions reduces the chances of a booking being secured.  Especially with the popular burds who get booked up.  And working out who the text / call is from is more difficult.  I will write please call me etc to speed things up.  Even if they rarely call back then success rates seem to improve on a follow up call / text etc

Been there, done that, and doing it right now for tomorrow. All are new ones to me.

Plan A who I tried to book in advance a few days ago said to contact her on the day and as she did not give me a phone number and my work demands concentration and is with other people not much chance. Another 2 have not replied but have phone numbers. Plan B of these now displays a phone number, so I have a list of 3 with numbers (B,C, & D) and the original plan A with no phone. I might go the £70er first as the others are £100 or £120.

It also means no chance to print a google map in advance and be reasonably sure to be punctual as too many unknowns.

My biggest problem is that I have a pretty strict type now and a limited budget plus I have recently had to really limit punting to the weekends which is strangely the absolute worst time to do it. I tend to look on google maps to pinpoint the location and have on occasion also printed it out if the destination looks a bit tricky.
The issue I have with my sat nav is that when entering just a postcode if the area is sparsely populated the postcode area can actually be quite large, additionally if your map isn't up to date then it can take you to the wrong place if there have been postcode changes, this happened to me a couple of weeks ago.
The biggest issue however is when asked for a house number what to put in if you haven't got a clue what the number is, I recently put the number in that the sat nav prompted (the lowest possible house number) and it was over 2 miles from the right place.

this pensioner punter has an old dumb phone for punting, and even if I had a smart phone it is too small to see a map properly. I have a decent MacBook Air and that does everything I need for online stuff so why spend ££ on a smartphone?

Fair enough but smartphones aren't exact expensive anymore, I bought a punting one for £30 quid and you can zoom in and out on the map plus it's a walking sat nav or a wifi hotspot for the tablet but if you prefer paper and that gets the job done then no need to upgrade but a smartphone is more convenient than printing especially if you're after a plan B .
