Author Topic: A new one on me requesting me to send my number in a text??  (Read 1052 times)

Has anyone experienced the following? I am trying to understand the reasoning behind this.

I text messaged a WG and asked if she was available and postcode.  They responded 'send me your number in a message then I will give you the information’.  I responded that my number is the text they have just responded to me on, they didn’t reply.

I really can’t work this out 🤔

Do they not mean a message on AW so they can check against any feedback you have on there?

It didn’t come over that way but it’s a possibility. Has anyone has to do that then?  It’s a first on me.  What I didn’t understand is the request was ‘send me your number’. That is where the text came from and they responded to so they had my number

Maybe she wanted to message you from another phone/device didn't know how to copy/forward the number on or maybe she's just plain dumb.

We might be able to work it out from her profile, if we knew who it was.   :unknown:

I think you could be correct. I have sent a text request in the past and the escort asked me if I was on AW to message her and include the number I had contacted her on so she knew who I was.
Worked out ok as I was booking a few days in advance. Could be a bit of a pain if you wanted a last minute thing.

This is probably the explanation. She wanted an AW email with the phone number on it so she could check reverse feedback I would guess.

Never really seen the point of this.
I find the email system a bit of a faff, and if there's a phone number, it's far easier and (hopefully) quicker to message her.  Book this way and you're not leaving or receiving feedback in most cases.

I personally don't want to spend £100 on say half an hour just to get 1 positive feedback in order to see someone.  What difference that feedback makes, I don't know.  There's no guarantee I'll actually turn up, and if I were to get a negative, an easy new email address and clean punting sim gives me a new account.

Seems to be a bit too much jumping through hoops for some women these days.  I just want to text "are you free at xxx for 1hr?", turn up, do the deed and move on.

It sounds to me as though your number may not have been visible to her.  Are you sure it was an SMS message you sent, and not some other form of message?  And that number display is not turned off?

We can play guessing games forever, the answer might be in her profile but unless he names her the whole thread is a waste of time, it's the sort of thing trolls do.
