How much do you spend on punting in general. - I know it's hard to admit when you look at your bank balance and are you more erratic towards the end of the week or month or every Friday. Personally I have a thing about Momdays and Thursdays.

This a very expensive hobby as we know it. Also an expensive city. With expensive bitches with expensive taste. That said I would rather spend my money on a horse I can ride in net than one at the bookies.

A worrying amount. This is a more expensive habit than drugs. In fact when i was younger and blew a large amount on tarts ,and was questioned by my family.I actually said i'd spent it on drugs.was less embarassing and i got more sympathy

Let it out chaps. I'd say no less than. A grand a month and with all know HENDRIX is a high spender so is MrHappypants. It's worse when I am away on business - I know a guy who got fired for putting it on expenses ;). I at some point about a decade ago I remember blowin €800 every night for 5 nights away on business in Paris. Now that some very very fine pussy. Glad to say I am still standing - j'reste debout!

tbh it's kind of irrelavent.you may as well just ask how much people earn. But i believe this to be habit like drugs, drink gambling.most can probably control their spending. But i'm sure there are many that have got into financial troubles because of punting.

Dembo are are defo right. The next question should is it a good habit in comparison to drugs drink and gambling. At the end of the day you could pint all day all week long while you could do the others... After a while the viagra will do you in.

About earning yes, true but also responsibilities and how much freedom or time you have- and most important of all the girl you fancy. I get tried of a girl after 6 visits then I move on if there is better meat on the market otherwise I am happy to keep my steak in my pants and watch my money grow in the bank til the plane lands from EE

I think monthly spend is personal and, like gambling you should only spend what you can afford to lose.

Thats not how gambling works in reality! You spend what you have and maybe more to get what you want. Chasing losses is the most exciting part for me, it forces one to take previously unthinkable risks which can lead to beautiful returns.

Or catastrophic losses. I am very glad gambling has never been a vice of mine of any note.

Totally agree! Forgot to add the part about catastrophic losses! Been there.

I would never advise or encourage anybody to get involved in serious gambling, financials aside - it has many other negative aspects.  For me personally, I enjoy it, both the winning and losing and the range of emotions you go through but its now become a hobby, rather than job.

Just had a look at my ledger and I'm racking up something in the low 4 digits per month at the moment. Clearly not good for the finances but oh well
