Invasion of privacy, and against GDPR rules incidentally. Your contact number should only be used for the reason it was given, in this case to accept and confirm the booking. Unless you are asked at the time it can't be used for any other reason or (especially) passed to a third party.

A phone number alone is not personafiable data and therefore is not covered under GDPR.

The GDPR is like the Millennium bug. Storm in a tea cup.

Here is a list of the serious things that went wrong because of the MB...<null>
Here is a list of the people fined because of GDPR...<null>

It is no reason not to do the right thing.  The clinic and the escort did the right thing.

The MB was far from a storm in a teacup. It was nullified due to a lot of hard and good work by thousands of programmers. I should know, I was one of them.

Notwithstanding your hard work changing the date fields in code lines, in retrospect, it became clear that it was largely a Keynesian employment scam. In the run-up to it, I remember speaking to the senior partner of The Gartner Group, who was one of the main evangelists for 'fixing it' (&, naturally, encouraging soft targets in the public sector and utilities to employ his firm to check the extent of their problem) - he was a cynical twat, and I'm pretty sure he was caught out about five years afterwards.

Lots of places which had legacy systems but which did no remedial work suffered precisely 00 problems. Or 0000, if you prefer.

I'm glad you got the employment though.

If you call them and tell them your mobile number, I am sure they will confirm the message is true.
