I don’t know of course, but it was the way she came out with the same question again and again after having had it clearly explained to her. It is reminiscent somehow of the dogged persistence, blind to anything else, of someone high on heroin. Back in the days of SWs it became a way of filtering them. The ones that came out with an insistent mantra instead of being able to engage in even a modicum of conversation. Of course, she might have been genuinely upset that he didn’t want to fuck her…
