I used a fake name as usual with my Revolut virtual card. It has always worked regardless of what info I put in the form. This time I used a deliberately funny name. Can't remember what exactly, but perhaps Hugh Janus.  :wackogirl:

Dear Customer

Thank you for your order.

Although payment has been debited from your card, our payment processor has asked us to carry out address verification checks. In most cases this is triggered when cardholder address or post code held by the bank or credit card company differs from those supplied on our online payment page. Other reasons for this type payment processor response include unusual spending patterns or random checks.

We are therefore obliged to carry out address verification before the fulfilment of your order. A current utility bill, a bank or credit card statement will suffice for verification. If a copy of statement is to be provided you may delete or obscure the actual transactions.

How many punter actually have their real name on AW account?     AW admin will be very busy.

Confused in Cardiff!

Is it, 'Revolut virtual card' or 'AW' you have an issue with?

Anything to do with money and financial transactions, I would think, soon be suspended unless a real name and details wee provided as they would be concerned about money laundering.

Offline kuck

@Corus - used Revolut Virtual to pay Awork.

Thank you.

Still the same underlying reason amd perhaps why they no longer accept PaySafe vouches/cards.

Offline Thecunninglinguist

I think it will be an effort to show they are complying with money laundering regulations? Either that or someone at the company fancies the idea of a Huge anus?

I thought all financial transactions now had to include the account holder's name, their real name as held on file by the bank or card issuer, not some made up nonsense?

Online contentguy

It could have been the funny name that tripped it.  There's artificial intelligence getting into anti fraud everywhere out there.  Your name (perhaps the name change) triggered a check.  The "Hugh Janus" gag has been doing the rounds for some time now and computers are getting more savvy.

Revolut is the Romanian hooker of finance. Standard rules and norms don't apply for them. I've been using fake names with their virtual card for ever. Seeking hasn't had a problem so far, for example. Awork didn't either till today.

I used to use a Revolut Virtual Card with Awork but it seemed to trigger compliance at the bank who messaged me out of the blue asking about the nature of the transactions with AW and then informed me that anything related to "Pornography" was against their T&Cs. At that time I was only using the account for AW which may have also been a factor.

I've never heard that one, very funny 😆

I once loaded £20 onto AW from my standard Visa card. The stupid stupid cunts took it out as "External Link/Members Only". Some fucking disguise. I never gave them money again, stupid stupid bastards.

Care to elaborate?
I load funds to my revolut and how I spend those funds is not shared with my bank.  only me, seller and revolut have the details.  Where did your bank get the info?

Yes, sorry I wasn't clear -  it was Revolut compliance who contacted me in the Revolut app about my spending. I fobbed them off and it has been fine since but I don't use Revolut to pay at AW anymore.

What triggered it?
What was off with your spending? Was it a large amount? Had you put in fake info?

I don't know what triggered compliance (it could have been random)- but it must have looked strange that the only spending on my account at that time was on AW  - it wasn't a large amount - just the odd few quite here and there - and I did not use fake info for the payments. They weren't massively bothered, I think, once I explained why I had opened the account.

I'd imagine you'd be tickled by his German uncle, Erik Schön

Hi Kuck, do you use a fake address for revolut disposable payments on SA too? Had a look on the forum but getting conflicting messages! Thanks for your help in advance

I do. Though I don't think I've used hilarious names with SA.

The FSA and banks are insisting that entities use their real names more and more to prevent fraud.  Whenever I add funds to OnlyFans it is listed as a payment to Onlyfans.

Your user name should be separate with you real name, and had bought credits this week with no issue

Update:

Tried logging in only to discover that my account has been deactivated.
I end up on this blank page after the login screen - External Link/Members Only

Suppose I'll have to use my other account, but that has zero feedback.
