Disconcerting that it only seems to apply to Pfizer's product. Looks like an attempt to claw back lost sales. I wouldn't expect a price drop until the other generic brands are sold OTC. However that may not happen: Pfizer are having to invest in training a lot of pharmacists to allow this to happen, and they won't be keen on the other companies benefitting

If you get caught out after a meal or need it work really fast get half your usual dose and stick it under your tongue until it’s completely dissolved and gone.. Tastes totally vile, but works really fast...
It takes about 5mins to dissolve and works in about 15 minutes..

I'm sure some like me will be reading this thread before buying or trying sildenafil, so here's my experience so far. I'm 50 and I don't have any erectile issues, I just thought it might make me more like granite than steel or it might enhance the experience, it doesn't cost much so what's to lose?

So, I looked into it, I know medication always comes with ridiculous dire warnings that will never happen, "may cause death" etc. but all the same I still had a good read up, I do occasionally have reflux issues and that was a flag, I had my blood pressure taken when joining a gym and they said it was slightly high but within tolerances for allowing me in, nothing serious just a few little things to look out for. So I having read everything I thought it might be better to start with a low dose and see how it went I was also aware of the potential for a bright red face, and I'd see this on a lad years ago who'd had his Lucozade drink spiked with the jelly stuff at work, so I got the 25mg tablets and thought I'd go solo and see how it went. An hour after dropping the first tablet and being busy doing other stuff I thought I'd better have a look at some grunge on the internet. Bang, rock hard straight away, this was Sunday afternoon, I'd been away for the weekend with the OH and she'd done duty earlier in the morning before we set off back and this was better that I would have expected, rock hard like I'd not had any for a month. Tug, tug, bingo, no issues with not being able to cum, which is also mentioned here and there, no blurred vision or blue haze, it went as well as I could have hoped. My only caveat is that it may have been the anticipation that fired me up as much as the tablet, I have ordered a pack of 50mg tablets and have made arrangements with a WG for Wednesday, I've had the dummy run, now to try it for real. I'll let you know.

After a massive op i have had hit and miss issues with erections, if i was with a GF and we did it when i was 100% in the mood i do not need it, but with a new GF or a WG doing it at "this time on this day" its very hit and miss, enter sidenafil given by the doctor..

I have been taking it about two years now, and what i can say from experience is the side effects disappear over time, but the effectiveness does not...

Some guides from me...
Take on an empty stomach for best effect, 3-4 hours after eating. In an emergency (such as being offered a fuck after food) break your dose in two and put under your tongue for 5 minutes until completely gone, this works very fast but you only need around half the normal dose as it goes straight into your blood stream like this.

Have a good size glass of water with it if possible.

It works for me after about 30 mins, but within the first hour of taking the dose i can be a bit weak and easily tired, if possible i like to leave it two hours if i really want to fuck the arse off something properly. Sometimes i take 50mg and then another 50mg an hour later, this also stops me feeling weak and easily tired.

For me it works for 12 hours or more..

Modest alcohol consumption does not affect things for me, 4-5 pints is ok..

I get back ache the day after, but its minor, this is a well reported after effect..

In the past i have taken 100mg and then 5 hours later topped up with another 50mg and had no major side effects. If you google the dose sometimes docs will prescribe 150-200mg in extreme cases.

Genuine sildenafil has an amazing safety record, and i read it will soon be available over the counter in some chemists without prescription.

Give it a try, it has been amazing for me... With a previous GF (now gone sadly) it became part of the game for us, out and about "shall i get one of these down my neck then?" then pop one in in the middle of a pub, wash it down with a pint then go home and make the bitch scream !

If i ever met whom ever discovered it i would buy them a lot of drinks, because my issue is now a manageable minor issue, rather than the depressing life changer it could have been...

There’s pages and pages on sildenafil and all other ED meds on here if you search. It just goes round and round. Effects, timing etc for someone else will not necessarily be the same for the next person.

Occasionally if I’ve been working and “am not in the mood” then I put on some porn for a few minutes while waiting for the taxi, just to get me in the mood. Also double checks that any meds are effectively in the system.

Reflux — ask your doctor for ranitidine (300mg). Say you’ve tried the over the counter version (usually 150mg) but it doesn’t work unless you take a lot.

This is a standard med that’s been around forever, one of the most prescribed meds worldwide. Doctors have no trouble prescribing it. (The “I’ve tried the smaller dose” is just doctor-patient patter so the doctor is following good prescribing guidelines). Works ok with sildenafil or any other meds that give you reflux.

If you dissolve it under the tongue as one person has suggested, this also minimises reflux.

Had a punt today and as I'd held off the porn/wanking for a couple of weeks I felt cocked and loaded. Took 100mg of Sildenafil an hour before, got the desired effect, condom on and away we go, she was tight enough I was hard enough but  I just wasn't feeling it. I was expecting to be coming within a couple of minutes but not happening and in the end I just lost it. We had two tries with no look she eventually finished me off with oral/hand job, even then it took some doing,  she had great technique but it was just me. I've come home tonight and knocked one out and even that took a lot more effort.

I take 100mg as it guarantee's getting me up for it but I'm considering dropping back to 50mg. I've tried Cialis and Spedra but they just didn't do it at all.

No problem getting hard but coming has become more difficult. I only take 50mg

I think the science is a bit complicated. I don't have any straightforward studies to hand to prove it: but I think the basic logic would be that erection is most usually a result of a combination of factors. As far as I understand, ejaculation is closely linked to dopamine and serotonin, which are probably even essential. You are also more likely to feel aroused by someone you feel attracted to and bond with as this also releases oxytocin. These facilitate erection as well as ejaculation, and the focus of attention increases a subjective feeling of sensitivity: whereas Viagra simply facilitates erection. My feeling ( no pun intended) is that Viagra probably doesn't reduce sensitivity, but as the dopamine (feelgood) agents that normally increase sensitivity are absent, it might feel as if sensitivity has been numbed.

In plain language you can be turned on enough to get hard but not turned on enough to feel a lot that you didn't feel anyway.
