Hello,

I’d like to ask what clients’ views are on Ring Doorbells? As in, I’m a service provider in the North East and I’m considering purchasing one, but I’d like to know if this would generally be off-putting to potential/regular clients?

Any feedback is welcome!

Thank you,
C x

Wouldn’t bother me. We’re all on CCTV in most towns and cities anyway. If this puts off even one nut job from assaulting a SP then it’s worth it.

If this helps one nut job SP use the stored information against a genuine punter then it's not worth it  :unknown:

Wouldn't put me off. I think it needs to be made clear though to all potential punters otherwise it's just surveillance and not a deterrent.

I don’t have a problem with it 👍

Not an issue for me at all but I can imagine there may be a few of the more nervous/cautious punters who may not be keen.
I’d definitely mention it to any prospective clients before they confirm the booking.

Always assume you are on camera. I'm not worried about an obvious camera on a door, there are many cheap and effective hidden cameras that a simpleton can set up within the room. In the hands of a nutter, cctv coming in or from within the room can only get you into trouble if it makes it viral on social media or the nutter finds out who/where you are and targets you directly.

I wouldn’t visit if I had to press a ring doorbell to be honest

I appreciate the replies. All good points for me to consider.

If I do decide to purchase one, I’ll definitely make clients aware during the booking process, and will of course also inform my agency and let them know. Thanks.

How would you use the video captured say in the event that someone leaves you a negative on here?

It honestly wouldn’t be for that purpose! A justified negative is that in itself; a justified negative, for which I wouldn’t complain about.

Aside from the fact that I’m sick of missing deliveries and having them stolen from the doorstep, it would obviously be mainly for safety reasons. As a lot of people are aware, I work from home and lately there has been a trend for people to turn up without prior arrangement.

However, I’m fully aware clients may think a service provider may purchase one of these with ill intentions. I’m not, but of course I understand you’d be weary! That’s why I wanted to confirm what people’s opinions are; I just wanted to research what the general consensus is.

Thank you :)

Wouldn't bother me if you had one. If after doing due diligence I didn't trust the escort I wouldn't book anyway so being recorded at the door isn't a problem.

Does it really matter that maybe the escort has a ring doorbell in her house, but what if she didn't have one, but then

Where the escort house is located, she is surrounded by all her other neighbors, and they all have  ring doorbells, but the escort doesn't have one.   So as a punter you go to the escorts house, no ring doorbell for you to worry about, but all of her neighbors now have you on there ring doorbell, and entering the escorts house

There a new housing scheme near me, recently built, and recently I took a note of home many ring doorbells, which stands at 30
