Off to London tomorrow for what, owing to finances, will be my first trip there without a punt in maybe twenty years.
The galling this is Nicoletta is available too, and she wasn't when I last visited in May when I had the wherewithal for a punt and wasted it on two poor ones, when I didn't even get to see my other regular Amy either. 

Still, as I will be with three mates for a birthday celebration, I doubt I would have had chance to get away for a punt anyway. Instead it will be a drinking weekend.

At least your priorities are right - spending your funds on socialising with your friends rather than a punt.  I fear that in the same situation I would ditch my friends and have a punt instead (and regret that afterwards).
