I'm booked in to a London Hotel next week and thought I'd treat myself to a late incall. My room confirmation is all in the name of my company, and even has the secretaries name on it. So is there any risk?
I've only ever done this, years ago, when I worked for myself, so any letter or email to the company, regarding misdemeanors (shagging whores on business trips) would only have come to me! I remember one hitch in Norwich when my girl did not get past the reception and they called me to vouch for her. Of course she did not even have my real name! I calmly went to reception and said to the girl, "fantastic, have you brought the right memory stick with the presentation slides. [insertpuntingname] forgot to give them me when asked me to come instead"
. Phew, but I felt a bit flustered, made up for by the fantastic punt - never had a girl so desperate to get the proverbial rocks off. On another occasion, (bloody Norwich again) about half hour after my girl had left, the fire alarms went off, and the hotel was evacuated. A very close shave! Now, older and wiser I'm very aware things can and do go awry.
I may be overthinking it, but I'm interested in any other's experiences of work trip punts and steeling wenches into your hotel. Note I have no colleagues with me so that risk is absent. What precautions would you take to ensure nothing could get back to your employer. Is it too risky?
