I ran through the sign up process. Takes 5 minutes or less.

I was looking to see if they accept PayPal, or e money vouchers but no.

You would have to put in credit card details which is a step too far for me.

I don't fancy getting Ashley Madisoned at some future point.

AW are better for that whole anonymous payment thing.

It’s a link to secret benefits. It’s a referral program that UKPunting has signed up for, so they get paid for every sign up. For me, this is great and helps UKP fund maintenance and site improvements as well as keeping this place free

I’d rather this site was funded by subscription not advertising. Too many freeloaders on it anyway.

It's up to Head1 and the rest of the management team to decide what funding is needed and how to get that funding  :unknown:

This is his gaff, he can do what he wants with it.

Of course it is, but this is a community site that is absolutely nothing without us ordinary folk contributing to the general chit-chat and reviews. Without us it is nothing. So I dont think it is taking liberties to express an opinion on direction of travel.

It‘s an ad. Nothing sinister and if it proves successful means no one here will have to donate again.Which by the way was an amazing effort and thanks to you all  :drinks:

It’s not a referral program it’s just paid for advertising space

If the site switched to subscription you would see a mass exodus, that I guarantee.  :hi:

Nothing wrong with adverts, just don’t click on them if you’re not interested.  :unknown:

Straight paid for or paid per click on the link, let us know if you want us all to hit it every time we log on  ;)  :D

If it helps fund routine maintenance then I don't see any problem

Can we help by clicking on the link? By clicking on it more than once? By joining?

I've put a bit of blurb into my profile on it and got about seven birds ( 32 to 47) looked at me. The profiles look real and not too good to be true. I'd probably struggle to get any further because I won't post a face picture.

I would sign up to chat with them but there's no way other than using the credit card. Frustrating really.

$59 buys 100 credits, buys 10 chats where you could exchange details with your mark. Around £40.

£4 a message for a middle aged bird and no guarantee of anything whatsoever, think i'll stick to AW  :music:

Offline bedhedred

I began to think about how I would do it, if I did get them onto WhatsApp.

Only visit those who can accommodate. Travel to their area for the intro. If they ghost or it does not work out for a different reason, then have an AW plan B or C so that the day is not wasted. £4 per conversation is fuck all. If they had anonymous payment, I would have tried it out by now.

My best AW shags are with mid 30s women. The 20 somethings are usually disappointing and I suspect that as sugar babies they will perform even worse than career hookers.

Weird that my adblocker doesn't stop it showing on the page but blocks when i click on it.

It's a static advert that doesn't appear to use google adsense or any third party ad programs.

It's programmed by presumably Head1 himself. Most website allocate an "ad space" somewhere on the page. The advertising partner is then able to control whatever gets put into that ad space.

Most ad blockers work by blocking this ad space. But since it was added manually as part of the website, ad blockers can't differentiate between it and any other image on the site.

At least, that's my theory.
