What you are describing is normal. Most of the profiles on AW are fake. If you avoid the ones that have private gallerys and cut to the chase with ones that have a phone number displayed (also the ones that have been on there a fair while) it reduces the waste of time and increases the chance of success. But bear in mind that only about 1 in 20 are serious and possibly worth meeting. It's getting steadily worse and might be 1 in 30 by now.

Usually sticking to these guidelines will bring you success
