A couple of days ago I asked an innocent question....since then I've been harangued for writing 'flowery' reviews that is,in 2 or 3 members eyes, for the WG,the only apology I'll give is that as an ex English Literature teacher, it's the only way I know and is not intended...I have NO allegiance to any working girl and nor do I intend to have.
To some on here the biggest mistake was to call a WG a 'lady'. At the age of 66 yrs I'm NOT going to aplogise for the way that I was brought up.....to be told and maybe shown the way to write a review (in their eyes and I do know the guidelines for review writing) is one thing, but to have the mindless vitriol posted to me is another.

Yawn.

Also I think the only time you can use the term “lady” when describing a prostitute is if you’re being facetious.

I think you may be too delicate for UKP, if you don't like what people are accusing you of then tell them to fuck off, its your reviews at the end of the day.
But FFS don't write threads and whinge about it. Just saying. :hi:

I'll give is that as an ex English Literature teacher
I would write it like this mate: I'll give is that as an ex-English Literature teacher.

Read my reviews, they're as flowery and pretentious as you like, but they contain the meat and two veg and are designed to report the facts; even to other members saying they had a similar experience which is a good sign.

How many read your post and didn't complain? Half? 99%?

Don't complain to 5000 of us for things 3 said.

I'm not sure how the Romantics would have described a character called "Blow Job princess," somehow I doubt lady would have been their first choice?

As far as "The way you were brought up?" you're paying a pro$$ie and describing a variety of sex acts, hardly the antics of either a gentleman or lady?  :unknown:

Don't be a petal, the internet is for the thick skinned. You have joined a forum where it's mostly blokes who speak their mind and have strong opinions and recieve services in an industry where to be distrustful and a cynic is a good trait.

In short, people will scrutinize and abuse, perhaps tease. Laugh it off man.

Brandonpete you really need to be a little more robust. I myself do not use some of the more basic terms when describing this forums subject matter. I wouldn’t use those terms to their face so.....

I think you were more being pulled up on your motives, the language you use was additional ammo. Having a hissy fit only focus’s the point. There are some very bright and astute members (not me I’m afraid) on here who have a keen eye for dubious motives and you may well be just collateral damage.

I would suggest you shrug it off and consider your posts in future.

IMO you are too sensitive for UKP, my advice is join a vicars tea party forum, also people that post threads like this up moaning and groaning always come across to me as soft as runny shit. If you are going to stay at least grow a backbone.

Thankyou all for your points....Change manner of review
                                            Grow backbone......etc

all taken on board.....but just to say...

I have no affiliations, allegiances to WG's,or intentions to embellish/elaborate/exaggerate or to wax lyrucal about a WG's service in order to get,as has been implied 'Freebees' etc.
Like All or most on here I use WG's for my own satisfaction/recreation,at my cost.....As mentioned Lesson learned...and as one of our UKP comrades says "The quest continues"!  and NO I'm not trying to nick that!

An “ex English Literature teacher” who cannot spell “aplogise” (sic)?

I wouldn't be too concerned about a few hostile remarks, BP. As for 'changing your reviewing manner', why would you do that? So long as your reviews include all the key information, write them in whatever manner you want. If someone doesn't like your style they can get stuffed and move on to the next review.

I sort of agree with Charlie, it's your review and another valuable contribution to the forum. If you are more comfortable with one particular word as opposed to another then what does it matter if you use lady, pro$$ie, whore, escort, courtesan? In the context of a review they are the same woman and some punters will take the piss out of a fluffy term...

Your bigger faux pas is to start a whiny thread about someone picking on you.
