This week I had a relatively late opportunity for an hour’s playtime with an SP and had a few potential choices.

The big question for me was - do I play safe and visit someone I’ve seen before or do I chance the thrill of a completely new encounter.

In this instance I decided to try someone new and then ‘panicked’ and went for the girl I’ve seen more than anyone else. We almost always have a good time together so I knew it was a ‘safe bet’. As it happens, it was about the best time I’ve ever had with her

I tend to only see escorts once, and have never seen one more than twice. However, I also play safe by mostly visiting escorts that are well reviewed on here and more often than not British. Enough to keep my unseen hotlist in the 30-40 range, so plenty of options.

I do also have a list of escorts that I have seen before and have provided a top service. Then, if I have a rare disappointing punt I can go for someone safer next time to rekindle my enthusiasm.

Of course, UKP has been great in this regard by helping to recommend the best SPs whilst weeding out those that don’t offer a great service

In that case go with a reliable SP you have seen before. There's no point wasting your limited opportunities and budget on disappointments.

Must have seen my regular getting on for 200 times over the years...tried someone knew a couple of months back, was good and fresh but wasn't quite the same. I was monogamous for close to 20 years but some ‘life events’ hit me pretty hard (I have PTSD) and I decided that I needed to visit a few “sweet shops”.

I have, quite literally, tasted some delicious ‘sweets’ and am eager to try more, but I think my natural propensity to play safe pushes me to stick with what I’ve already tasted.

I think in this case OP, you made the right choice. If I find myself with a short notice punting window, I'm always going to call a reg. We'll have good comms, and I'll know exactly how long it takes to get to hers and where to park. I'll have a great time, and there'll be no chance of being ghosted at the last minute. If I'm visiting a new town and I've got some time to research and plan - that's the time to look for someone new.

Lots of info on this thread that makes sense about making your choice, repeat vs branch out. For me it's usually time related. Adventure if I've got time, a regular if I haven't.

That’s exactly what prompted this question. I had a great time with my most regular girl but did I miss out on something new and different?

Since I started punting last year, I have seen around 20 different girls, some very good, some very bad and rest in between. Whenever I get a window of opportunity, I always search for someone new but at the same time I am battling this urge for a repeat visit to one of the good ones assuming that I would get the same good experience. Only once I ended up in a repeat visit but rest of the time I have managed to see someone different as it’s the thrill of a different experience / different girl that is more important to me personally.

Should she get a good a review of someone new she will then relate that back to her 'guys' and suggest they try the wg with good feed back.
It might seem strange for a reg to suggest you try elsewhere but it helps  to weed out  the poor offerings around.
