Age Verification & Access Policy

UKPunting is committed to preventing persons under the age of 18 from accessing content that may be inappropriate for minors. This policy explains how access to content on this website is controlled and how age verification is applied, in line with UK regulatory expectations for protecting children from restricted material.
1. Public Access and Abridged Content
Public areas of UKPunting display abridged, non-explicit content only. Public pages do not display pornographic images or explicit written descriptions of sexual activity. Where adult themes are visible (for example, forum section titles), they are presented in a non-graphic, informational context.
2. Restricted Access Areas
Certain parts of UKPunting are restricted to adults and may contain unabridged written content intended for users aged 18 or over. Restricted areas are not available to unregistered users and are not accessible without completing the access steps described below.
3. Payment Friction
UKPunting requires a Bitcoin payment before any restricted content can be accessed. This introduces meaningful friction by requiring cost, technical knowledge, and deliberate action. This step reduces the likelihood of accidental or casual access by minors.
Payment alone does not constitute age verification and is used as an additional protective measure.
4. Age Verification for UK Users
Users accessing restricted content from within the United Kingdom are required to complete a one-time age verification check using an approved third-party age assurance provider.
Age verification confirms only whether the user is aged 18 or over. UKPunting does not receive, store, or process identity documents, photographs, or other personal identification information used during verification.
Once an account is verified as 18+, the verified status remains valid unless there is evidence of misuse or fraud. Repeat verification is not required.
5. Users Outside the United Kingdom
UK age verification obligations apply to access from within the United Kingdom. Users accessing UKPunting from outside the UK may not be required to complete UK-specific age verification under UK law. Location is determined using standard IP-based methods.
6. VPNs and Similar Technologies
No age assurance system can prevent all deliberate circumvention. UKPunting applies age verification controls under normal expected use based on standard location signals. We are not required to detect or block VPNs or similar technologies. Accounts found to be misused may be suspended or terminated.
7. What We Store (Minimum Data)
UKPunting stores only the minimum information necessary to manage verified access:
- Verification status: verified / not verified
- Verification reference token: a non-identifying reference provided by the third-party verification provider
- Verification timestamp: the date/time verification was completed
8. Enforcement
If UKPunting becomes aware that an account has been fraudulently verified or deliberately used to enable under-18 access, the account may be suspended or terminated. We may also take additional steps to prevent further misuse.
9. Policy Review
This policy is reviewed periodically and updated as required to reflect changes in regulation or operational practice. The "Last updated" date above will be revised when changes are made.
