The sauna scene is totally out of all proportion. They think stopping it will stop prostitution in Edinburgh ? Somebody please tell them this isnt a perfect world. It will only be driven under ground to flats and other places where there is no control of the business.

Why dont they concentrate on that ? Because the sauna industry is seen as a nice easy target that equates to being seen to being doing something.

What they should do is simply go on the internet and round up as many flats as they can - out them out of business and run them out of town. Sort out the uncontrolled element where the majority of the crimes exist. you will find the trafficing and drugs in those places. Sort that out.

The saunas ? drug checkes health checks and sort out this properly - how many sanuas in edinburgh ? a few and do you think there would be that many if there was no business ? No I dont either. Ive used them and can honestly say that if they were controlled and managed then it would be absolutely no issue. These places have been run for many years with no real spill out to the surrounding area. As for attracting pedos and pervets...... get real. pedos and perverts generally have no interest in the sauna scene. The ones Ive been to Ive generally seen just your ordinary punter in there - someone in for a blowjob or an uncomplicated shag. Probably saved a few marriages these places.

The real reason and this is where it is at. Money. Do you not think that these places make a lot of money and this money is under the radar where the cunts cant get it ? That is what grates them the most - they dont give a flying frig about it other than the money they are not getting. 20 quid to the door and 60 quid to the girl thats 80 quid say 5 cabins and open 10 to 10 thats 12 hours times 5 times 80..... perfect world turn around assuming full occupancy over a year is over 1.7 million. run that over 7 saunas and you can see the money and they try to tell us its about the safety of the girls and all that...Dont you believe it. Its a money thing. Government thinks that if they close that out then we will spend that money on other things that have a tax weighting. Yeah. Go do the sums. Think about it.

Money makes the world go round and there isnt too much of it about just now....

Perfect world they would be doing the same as the saunas - but it would be managed. Proper health checks and verification that its not being done under duress....

Ive seen the odd indie and its been good if they are into it and doing it form themselves - sadly had a couple of experiances where it wasnt so black and white.....

Been to LSS seen Amber new Romanian girl, very pretty sexy slim.
Usual LSS service, I enjoy it and enjoy seeing new girls.
Phoned Blair Street yesterday and today, they had the same 2 girls all day on both days. That was Heidi and Cindy. LSS had about 14 different girls including both shifts. Excellent choices. Good to see Jackie, Simion, Vanessa and others. Best it’s been for years. At LSS they were preparing to issue the girls with uniforms.
Anyway next Wednesday the 23rd October all the licences come up for renewal. Maybe LSS are just in denial or maybe they know something. It seems Blair Street have given up.

Newbie question but how much is BSS for 30 minutes?  Is it £20 entry + £60 per half hour?  Is Heidi still recommended and does she do DFK?

At Blair Street for 45 mins its £25 + £60.
At London Street for 45 mins its £25 + £55
So for 30 mins will be about £10 less in total.
Rough guide is that BSS do DFK & owo and LSS don't.
A lot of the time the service depends on how well you know the girl.
Heidi is recommended, so is Olivia. ( I think  Olivia has now moved to LSS)
If you're looking for DFK then definitely go to Blair Street.
At BSS they are all expected to do kissing and owo.
Phone before hand and see who is working.

Here's the latest news

http://www.edinburghnews.scotsman.com/news/police-reveal-seedy-details-of-edinburgh-saunas-1-3148092

"scantily-clad women" and "pornography being streamed into room"
These are being changed but maybe to late.

London Street Sauna
"Officers observed sauna and steam room facilities being offered for use on the premises . . . this applicant has failed to include steam room facilities within the description of activities"
I have been complaining for years about that LSS steam room not working! Now Police Scotland are getting involved they might get it fix.

The girls in the new town are in uniforms, actually quite attractive, adds to the private clinic ambiance of the place.

One day to go.
All 13 Edinburgh Saunas are up for their annual renewal tomorrow.

"Council insiders previously said they expected the vote to go in favour of them carrying on."

Beggars belief! If it does go through I suppose punters will have to take their own condoms? Or will that be banned as well? It's sheer stupidity.

The whole sex scene in Edinburgh will go underground if that happens!

What bollocks are you spouting, Prostitution is itself legal so why would it need to go "underground" closing brothels is perhaps likely to make girls work for themselves / via adultwork etc.

I heard about LSS -  I had heard that it was being monitored as a sort of model for a possible legalisation a while back - its run very professionally and from what I can see the money thing would be very easy to sort out with the way its all set up.

There is talk about the whole side of prostitution being reassesed and the laws defined so that an establishment such as London Street could operate within the law.

If you had girls in a hotel and the punter made an agreement with the girl then met up at the hotel for the purpose of an encounter then nothing breaks the law. If the hotel owner knows then that is a grey area. However if this is looked at properly and sorted out then it can be operated following some clear guidelines.

The rooms are gutted and turned in to proper massage rooms.

The staff are appropriately dressed and have the proper qualifications for massage. This may be bent slightly and a formal qualification for relaxation style aromatherapy treatments brought into play.

The people running the establishment run it as a treatment clinic and the therapists are self employed. They use the room to provide their service and there is no money change hands for sexual services.

However if the two consenting adults in the room decide to engage then that is between them.

its going to be an interesting time indeed.

You are talking crap just like your previous comments.
I could go further to explain but every intelligent person on here knows why.
Anyway, LSS has had it's license renewed.

I get the impression that Ambassador has too, though I really don't think I'd go back there. Once was enough, which is a shame cos they have great premises

BBC is saying that "six of Edinburgh's thirteen saunas are to close"

Good news that the LSS will remain open, I'd be sorry to see it go.

The latest news is

No.9 in the Cowgate and The Executive on Rose Street North Lane – were ordered to make changes to their signage.

Blair Street, New Gentle Touch, Paradise and Dundas Street which had their licenses rejected will stay open while they appeal which could take a few months.

What will the Police do next?
