A new route takes me to Manilla and a 2 night stay. Rest of the crew are very young and Will head for music scene.
Never punted here so any advice would be welcome.  Have a trip to Japan coming up with an overnight in Tokyo...
All info welcome
Thanks

For the best quality you need to head for "P. Burgos Street"

A short road full of girlie bars, a cheaper option would be  Edsa complex, this is about a dozen Go-Go bars under one roof.

If that fails head for Manila Bay Cafe, a late night bar full of freelancers.

Keep to the main tourist areas and only get into metered taxis, most drivers speak English ---- unlike Thailand.

One of the most concise summaries I've ever seen of the Manila scene - didn't know you'd been there Jim.

Only other thing I'd add is that getting around can be a lot of trouble - traffic and poor roads. And it's a challenging enough place for a first visit. You maybe don't have much choice where you're staying (?) and that might be a big consideration. Two nights is about enough to tackle one area. EDSA is fairly straightforward. Do try to read the ISG board for Manila before you go.

November 4th 2008  :hi:

Started in Angeles City and then back to Manila, 14 nights in total, I did a full report at the time but not sure where ------ maybe ISG.

Can't say why I never returned, nice people but a very poor country, most girls are as ugly as Thai girls but at least they can speak English.  :hi:

It was a culture shock to see armed guards at some stores, I went to a casino in Manila and the security guard had a gun that would bring down an elephant.  :scare:

Acronym for the website http://www.internationalsexguide.info/forum/
You want the Philippines board by the way, Manila doesn't have any recent reports as of this writing.

Was there myself briefly a few moths ago, but didn't punt all that much. Like Jimmy says, most girls are plain, although they also tend to have nice arses, but the ones I did punt with had either very small tits or virtually none at all. Cheap, though.

I am likely to be in Puerto Princesa for a week. And Manila for one night.
I have never been to the Philippines...  never been to Asia!
Is it considered a relatively safe place for a foreigner to be out alone late at night?
I've heard a few warnings about Manila, but is it really any worse than London or Paris?
I imagine Puerto Princesa is a pretty quiet place but does seam to have a few bars and clubs.
Has anyone been to Puerto Princesa?

I haven't been to Puerto Princesa but yes, Manilia is less safe than London at any time (some parts worse than others, as with any city). If you are experienced in staying safe in Asian cities you should have no problem. Some of the main punting areas require extra caution but nothing OTT.

Let's put it this way, London does not have armed security guards in 7/11.    :scare:

If you stick to the main tourist areas you should be reasonably safe, only use "real taxis" which are clearly marked and cheap.

Don't walk around with huge amounts of cash and leave your credit cards in the hotel --------- all just common sense really.

And to add, don't walk around a third word country with items of wealth, ie. expensive watch, brand new iphone, fat gold chains and other jewellery, just a case of using a bit of common sense.

Going to Philippines next month on family visit ( wife's ). PP is on the island of Palawan and will be spending a week there as well as in the "Bario". Having researched Palawan WGs on the Philippines Addicts web site, seems few and far between? Advice I was given via their forum, was to take one with you, then at least you know will get a shag while there  :D

I have been to Palawan and as soon as any taxi or tricycle driver sees your white, dont worry about lack of wg's.

I had them shipped to my room regulalry easiest thing ever finding them.

Cafe Havana at the Greenbelt centre was great.
Latin themed bar/club with a relaxed but busy atmosphere.
A lot of normal folk, couples etc. but most of the single girls were there to spend the night back at your hotel. There were plenty of them and some were stunning.
Prices vary and plenty of room for negotiation but around 3000 pesos ( £40 -50)
And a few cheap drinks for the night.
For me it's the perfect way to punt... Have a drink and chat and a dance with a few beautiful girls before making a choise for the night.
One girl told me her day job was selling condoms !
She was an estate agent of sorts, selling condominiums :)

Edsa complex would be ideal for a one nighter don't pay bar fines do a deal for half Proce for the girl after her shift £40 or maybe some freelancers outdo side for half price
Don't dress flash and keep your small note separate to your big notes in your pockets
Safe enough wondering about but don't get too much drink or your wallet will be lighter

I am Filipino so I know quite a lot about punting in the Philippines. I live in Cebu (Central Philippines). Less populated and it has a lot of tourist attractions. Girls would fuck for as low as 600php or 10quid (maybe more if you're white). I also believe that it is much more safer than Manila or Angeles. Avoid bar girls though, they are overpriced plus they are not the best looking. Accommodation and transport is cheap. Getting a taxi is like 2 quid a journey. Also if you want more tips, ask the driver on where you can pick up girls. Just don't forget to give him a bit of tip.
Hope this helps! Happy punting!
