Author Topic: Finding the apartment!  (Read 3077 times)

Argh what a nightmare day today! Been trying for ages to see Sexy Elise, so today, after weeks of planning, was the day.  Got the address, plugged it into the twat nav and off I go on the two hour drive to Cheltenham.

Get there, well, to the postcode, can't see apartments, so end up driving around the one way system in the town centre four times.  After getting more directions on the phone I finally find the pay and display car park and head off looking for the apartment on foot.

Now I'm not from this area, and neither is Elise so it was like the blind leading the blind lol. After many phonecalls and me walking around like a numpty asking people for directions, I finally find the apartment, 45 minutes after I got into Cheltenham.

Unfortunately, Elise had another client booked in shortly after me so could only manage half hour ata push, so I said I'd rather wait and see her again for the full hour. Which is gutting because she looked absolutely bloody gorgeous and was so polite and nice to meet, and has a face you just want to empty your load over lol.

So..... I left, with aching balls and headed back to the car to drive all the way back, two hours back downthe motorway. The annoying thing was that the apartment, which, to be fair, had no name or indication on the front it was apartments, and that I'd actually driven past them four times, and they were a 3 minute walk from  thecar park lol, except I'd been heading in every direction but the right one.

What a nightmare day!!!!! Anyone else had fun trying to locate a girls 'office'?

Plenty of times. That's why I try to get the address beforehand now and scope the place out on Google Streetview.

It is the best plan.

Google streetview for me as well to locate apt and parking if needed. I also give myself plenty of time to deal with all the other cunts on the road.

Google street view is a godsend. Even then, you need to allow time to spare the first time you go. Had a punt in Leicester recently where the postcode I was given was correct. but left you at the wrong end of a one-way street to reach the car park - so theh had to figure out the one-way system to get to where I was supposed to be

Offline Boundless

Yep street view it every time.
I even try to work out where I'm going to park from it as well.

Of course, there are a few times where the girl deliberately gives you a slightly wrong postcode beforehand, which means you're then struggling with a tiny phone screen when you get the right one on the day.

Offline Boundless

Street view has the added bonus of being able to see what the area is like, I've cancelled 2 punts as the area looked dog rough!

Offline nigel4498

I had a punt in Ocean Village Southampton, when I received the post code it it was just like an address in an ordinary road but when I got there and found the number it was a massive complex all with different names, wings and areas, fucking nightmare, what a maze. Great punt though.

Spot on.

Not only does street view let me find the venue but it also means I can check out where to leave the car safely and if there are any time restrictions on parking. I also check the route out before setting off and don't rely on the shatnav.

Touring prossies generally haven't got a clue where they are, around here they find a working flat (or one is found for them) and that's it, no concern of where it is, what the travel is like or where the punters are going to park.

Yep, I've left a couple alone for the same reason. I'm a bit posh!!

I had the same problem Nigel and as it's usually touring girls who use it and they don't always know exactly where the flat is until they get there.

As for street view, very useful. Only had one situation where it wasn't helpful, when I saw  External Link/Members Only or External Link/Members Only  The place looks shit on Streetview but the area has been redeveloped and it was a brand new building, safe street parking and spotlessly clean and BTW a decent shag as well.

Google street view and TomTom 20/20 Sat Nav - Demo Mode, before I set off.

Can plot parking directions nearby, off street and/or any NCP.

That's if it's a new area and/or over 2 hours to get there. Quite enjoy the planning and anticipation that helps set up the punt. However it does increase the cost of the overall punt. so it's quality rather than quantity for me.

I always ask for address when i call and set up a meeting with WG. I always say i have to travel and i don't want to wait for her address to the last minute (some WGs say - call me 30 minutes before meeting and i will give you my house/apartment numer - i don't like it). Surprisingly this excuse always worked for me. And then i look at google or bing maps and i know where i am  :hi:

Before I had a decent sat nav I sometimes flagged down or got hold of a taxi driver told them to bung the clock on and I would follow and pay at the destination.

With sat navs now on most mobile phones or google maps there should be no need to have a problem finding where you are going.  Insist on the address before you leave rather than a focus point to ring from or at the very least the correct postcode and look it up before you go.  That way you not only know what the area is like you can also see where is best for you to park.

There is so much choice around now there is no need to visit someone who sends you to an address sort of near them where you have to ring and be sent somewhere else.
Giving out a false address for safety is a bit of a joke as even if you had no intention of turning up and were an address collector or someone dangerous you could still ring and say you are at the spot they told you to ring from and still get their address

Yep, google streetview is a must and now part of my punting routine. But I think it's safe to say that the majority of us have had many problems trying to find the girls apartment.

+1 more for google streetview

But some of these developments of older buildings can be a nightmare.

Parked near, phoned , got building and apartment number, drove into the courtyard and then drove around some more looking for the correct parking bay, Phoned again and was asked are you in the XXXXX colour car?, Yes then its right behind you, parked , got out wandered round again, then phoned again and was told its the building behind you, whoopee, Got in lift and finally arrived.

Funnily enough great punt though after all the fucking around.

There's nothing worse than being lost in a rough council estate area. You can hear the lips licking and the bellies rubbing of the potential muggers. I just pretend I'm on my phone I look lost and act as if I know where I'm going.

Offline Stiltskin

I always try to get the approximate address before I make a booking, as most towns have their good and bad places. If you book a girl in Southampton, expecting a nice apartment in Ocean village and it turns out she's on some council estate in Shirley, not good! :( :(

Also, if you're punting close to home and the girl texts you the address of the street where your wife's best friend lives, she's going to get a last minute cancellation and you're going to be labelled a time waster.

The trouble is most girls won't even send you a postcode without a booking, which I find quite annoying.

Nail on.

I never go to a punt without an address which I've checked out online and made a mental note of where to go. Otherwise you'll lose precious time and look like a plonker wandering around.

Offline Stalinator

I also use streetview before going on a punt.

The problem arises with prossies that give you instructions to go to point A and ring from there for further directions.

+1 for goole maps / streetview. I can plan my route using either public transport or driving to see which is quicker, find nearby car parks and zoom right in on the street to get my bearings. Now if only you could search escorts directly it would be the perfect punting tool! :-)

That's her for sure. Waiting for her re-appearance in the South West...could be waiting sometime.

That's very true Dani, however, on the times when the postcode has been a vague one I've only found out when I got there and ring or texted.

She is concentrating on London and Bracknell now so you could be right.

That reminds me of a punt many moons ago

Get to Paddington Station and call for house number as discussed, i had no smartphone back then so have to use natural sense of directions.

She doesn't answer :( So decide to keep walking in hopefully the right direction. She finally answers, phew relief.

Find the house, 1 of those large converted houses on Craven Hill. Ring the buzzer and she says I'm in the basement so go down the stairs.

Me the idiot took that to mean go down the stairs on the OUTSIDE of the building!!!! Just as i was about to knock on the door something inside me said STOP.

Never got up a flight of stairs so quick in my life and the embarrassment  of buzzing again and explaining how i got lost LOL
