Sildenafil, is it OK and still effective to cut it in half?

So got some sildenafil from a chemist today, 4 50 MG tablets and I've seen on here and elsewhere it's literally viagra right? Was thinking of cutting one in half for a 2 hour punt on Thursday but then realised most of the advice saying to cut them in half is based on 100 mg ones. Will mine still be worth a damn if I halve them? If I had more pills and time I'd do some experimenting but since I don't have either I kinda don't want to fuck about. I'm suspecting my best bet is just taking one 50 MG pill and seeing how it goes then halving one next time if it works very well then seeing how that goes? Really hoping Thursday goes well, could do with the boost with stress from work and such.

Sildenafil is viagra. Viagra is only a brand name and their protective patent has now run out in the UK.
50mg is a good dose to start with. Take one hour before sex. With plenty of water. They only work if you are sexually stimulated. An ugly old slag who doesn't turn you on wont turn them on!

If 50 mg goes well, keep that dose, or you could try cutting them in half next time.

I really agree with bestbefore - do drink plenty of water immediately after taking the tablet.  I always drink a pint, straight off.  What this does, I think, is that it reduces to a minimum the risk that you will have adverse side effects from the tablet.  One of the most commonly reported side effects is a bloody awful headache.  By no means everybody experiences this, but some do.  Drinking the amount of water I do, I've never suffered any ill effects.  Enjoy!!!

Pretty sure I'm going to be stimulated, not too worried about that. I think I'll go with the 50 MG and yeah I was planning on just drinking some water with it, apparently they work best on an empty stomach. Was thinking a very light breakfast at 7ish, then the pill at 9:40ish with the punt starting at 10:30. That made sense to me. Ta very much gents.

The advice is to take them on an empty stomach.  I find that an absolute mminimum of three hours between eating and taking them, sometimes longer, is best.  I try to have a four hour gap just to make sure.  I take them 45-60 mins before the punt but have experienced flushing (usually my indicator of readiness) 30 mins after taking.  Play it safe - nothing worse than getting it wrong, having an unsatisfactory punt in consequence and getting a stiffy on the way home when you think about how horny she had been!

That explains a lot. When I had my last punt and my nose got an erection I was quite concerned, but I feel relieved that there is a totally rational explanation.

As with any drugs, your mileage may vary. The dose of 50mg will have been decided after the clinical trials based on the best balance between effectiveness and side-effects.

So if 25mg works for you then great. Only one way to find out though...

I've tried a few of the ED meds recently and found they all work equally well. Cialis has a longer duration of action so timing isn't quite so critical. Spedra does indeed seem to live up to its name and become effective quickly.

Definitely take any of them with lots of water though.

i always take 2 paracetamols and 2 ibuprofen at the same time, that stops the headache and never had any trouble like that

The most uncomfortable side effect I suffer after halving a 100mg Viagra is a blocked nose which comes on within about 30 mins. The bummer is within an hour of dropping the pill I'm usually engaged in snogging and/or muff-diving and,as I can't breathe through my ears, have to keep pausing for breath !
The effects can last ages for me. I'm always a one shot punter usually during an hour appointment but the little head keeps trying to convince the big one to have another go by staying hard. This can even go into the next day if the tab was done in the evening. Great innit !!

Just a quick squirt of Sudafed spray up your hooter before the Viagra kicks in should keep your orifices lovely and clear. It usually keeps on working for about  8 hours for me. I might get a stuffy nose the next day, but who cares by then.
If you prefer mechanical means, you could wear one of those nasal strips designed for snorers or runners, but you'd get some very funny looks!

Yep Llyods ones ive had are little blue ones with a break line in them they split easy..

Asda 50mg small and can crumble the 100s are bigger and  crumble too I cut a batch almost in halfs or quarters before use and break the just before with water ..

Taken on an empty tum the Llyods ones Ive found are stronger, drinking any alcoholic drink hinders it..
also find get the little fella warmed up a little before going for the iron bar stiffy work

For me personally, cialis works better than Viagra, or it's now more cheaply available generic forms, and has less side effects in the form of headaches and flushing of the face. 
I also find the timing of taking Intalis ( my preferred form of cialis ) is far less critical than that for other types of "help".  , and that it's quite a lot cheaper too

I would try taking try giving it more time to work first.  I find that it can take 90 minutes, or even 2 hours for Sildenafil to work properly.  It depends on a lot of things, including what you've had to eat recently.  If you try to perform before the drug has had chance to work properly then you might not be using it to it's full potential.  So I would recommend adjusting your timing of taking it, before increasing the dose.  For me personally, taking 100mg gives much more side effects (to the point where people will ask if I'm OK as my face is flushing so much and my eyes look strange! plus the stuffy nose and headache is much worse) and no benefits to my sexual performance.  I'm happy with the results I get from 50mg.  Difference being that when I've cum after having taken 100mg earlier, my cock is still rock hard.  But I won't feel like fucking again even though I'm still hard.  I'm a one-pop wonder and just having a boner won't make me want to fuck again immediately after / within a few minutes after cumming - I have tried to do it but I find it very uncomfortable and don't enjoy it.

 Most people will react somewhat differntly to each type of ED drug and the amount but some of the other meds you may be taking longer term such as for Hypertension (high blood pressure) can have /give/produce more noticable side effects and you may well have to play around within limits with the doseage for best wanted effect and least side effects. FWIW I do find that Cialis has less side effects than most anything else at doses of 10 mg but if you have any doubt's or questions please seek the advice of your doctor or a medicaly qualifed professional at least, as knowlegable as what we all are hereon of course;)..

I've had very varied success with Viagra/Sildenafil at 50mg. Sometime it works a treat, other times it's as if it's not worked at all. I'm led to believe that drinking a lot of caffeine around the same time can reduce it's effectiveness. Now I also try not to eat for 4 hours before taking it.

I've had good experiences with Cialis 10mg, but find taking it much earlier before a meet is necessary, maybe 2 to 3 hours.

I bought a load of 100mg pills and took 1/4 to start off with.  A 1uarter works well for me but gives me a headache about 2 hours later, I have found that an 1/8 just about works, so for me if it's a quick punt I go for an 1/8 and if it's a longer one (or multiple punts) I go for an 1/4 and drink a lot of water.

For those who are patient, I use powdered Cayenne Pepper and Garlic. You get these from the spices section of your supermarket.
Just half a teaspoon each mixed in half a glass of water and knocked back. Give it a few days and it's just as effective.

Oh shit!  I thought that was just me developing Delayed Ejaculation!?!?  I have almost brought seasoned WG's like Madlin Moon to exhaustion because of this, in the end I think she was a bit pissed off with me, especially when I asked her to give me some added stimulation with a cheeky finger up my bum.    Hey, whatever works right!!

I just this week also figured out the trick about buying the higher dose versions.  At superdrug if you buy 8 * 10mg Cialis it's £85. I cut these in half for a dose which works for me - £5.31 per dose.  But 8 * 20mg is just £90 so just £2.81 per dose!  That's not far off half price!  A huge difference for the insignificant inconvenience of splitting the pills!
