I'll be honest. I have fucked a lot of women, mainly hookers but also one night stands and would not recognise them in the street if I walked past them after a month had past since dirty deed, no chance.

I am a very ordinary, grey, boring bloke who is not great in the sack, I pop one or two loads out then am done, I am probably like thousands of other punters, nothing memorable, either for good or bad reasons.

However, if I do see a hooker more than once, even after a few months, the girl instantly remembers seeing me. Has happened with three girls over past year.

Given the amount of guys they see, many hookers see three or four blokes a day every day or most days of the week, it does amaze me how they recognise people.

So the question is are male and female brains wired differently in respect of the memory of people they have slept with?

Not true. I've gone back for seconds many months later and the pro has mentioned a conversation we had in minute detail. The only difference with the OP's story is that I put it down to me being so awesome in bed.

In my experience women in general tend to have a good memory for small details that us blokes ignore. It's amazing the crap my wife or fuck buddy remember from years ago when I can't. You (OP) probably have something unusual about you that stuck to the prossie's mind. Crooked teeth, big/small nose, mole in an odd place, etc.

As ever it depends on the WG. Some have remembered me from months or in a few cases a couple of years before.

Yes I 've noticed this too. I have a pretty good memory and my punts & parties are occasional highlights in an otherwise normal existence so are often firmly etched in my memory, but I am often amazed that girls remember me and things that were said when I am probably one among many hundreds they may have seen in between.

One girl I met at a party once before, just a brief encounter, only 10-15 mins. A year later she returned and reminded me that she thought I looked like a famous actor (I don't), but she remembered me that way. I had clean forgotten about it.

Another girl I met for a 30 min in MK. Over a year later, I turn up at a party thinking I'm meeting a new girl, but as soon as I speak to her in the kitchen, she says she knows me and it was only when we compared notes that I realised who she was, but still didn't really recognise her.

Some people have fantastic memories for this shor of thing. Just because you work in the sex industry doesn't mean you are different from anybody else (well, not very). A few weeks ago, I saw somebody for the second time, who opened the converstion with "Hello. Nice to see you. Have you recovered from the wedding yet?" I had completely forgotten that  I had let slip an (honest) piece of personal information on our provius encounter. But she had filed it away, mentally or otherwise. Actually, as a very personal touch, it got the second meeting off to a rather nice start, so I'm not complaining.

Yeah i saw an Indie girl earlier this year who i had previously only ever seen once before for a 1 hour booking back in 2007 working in a well known Parlour in Manchester.

I always remember faces of people I have seen but am useless at names so never remember what I am supposed to call them unless they gave their name when booking.
As for remembering conversations I can with most but if it is important for me to remember I will put it on my pc next to their name and the last four digits of their phone number.  That way if they ring again I just put in the last four digits and up pops everything including what they like, if an outfit was requested before, as well as any info that may be helpful during a booking.

No matter how good our memory is unless there is something about you that really stands out then we are not going to remember most details as we see so many different people over the course of a few months.

It's not quite a blind memory recall exercise you're describing. 

I can remember 40 odd punts at the moment but that will fade in time, some of their faces I can't even picture now, although I can remember something about what we did, where we were, and the cost ofc (even without my spreadsheet).

But if I did rebook a WG their face, flat and body etc. would remind me of lots of things about the previous booking that I'd forgotten until then.  It's the same with me in civvie life too.

Because I have an excellent memory whenever I see a WG and they give me the "Oh I remember you" routine I test them out to see if they're bullshitting and unbelievably they very rarely are.

This is very true and you don't even have to shag them for them to remember you.  It's been a while since I have been to Pattaya, but when I first went there I found a little bar I liked and would have a few drinks there before going out to find girls.  I went back a year later and the girls in my favourite bar remembered me, even though I had never paid any of their bar fines.

I've read about studies that suggest women tend to remember past events in more detail as well as the emotions attached to them, where as men have a better visuospatial memory. Kind of makes sense I guess taking into account male/female stereotypes - the prossie remembers the punter who was pushy and pissed her off, or who was friendly and fun to talk to, where as the punter remembers the girl with the huge boobs or the birthmark on her bum.. Or the layout of her flat I suppose!! It's a big generalisation but interesting IMO

It's interesting for me as I'm new and am still working out the client-escort relationship. I know I like it when the man in my local corner shop chats to me and asks how such-and-such went, it adds a personal touch, so would hope it would be similar in sex-work - makes it feel less fake/makes the prossie seem more like a nice, normal, friendly person - or am I being naive?? Also, it could get confusing remembering non-sexual details as they may be from a cover story!  Would be pretty funny both trying to remember details from elaborate scenarios created to protect your privacy 

Could also be a bit creepy remembering tiny details from a client's personal life but I suppose as long as you're not a crazy weirdo it's not hard getting the balance right between "friendly, normal person" and "creepy bunny boiler" 

I did find this topic really interesting, both from the male/female memory angle and just because my memory is so poor I can't imagine being able to remember all my clients (once I've been doing this a while) - would be nice to think I could, maybe I should keep notes too..

You're not being naive at all. You're humans not robots and therefore you have wants and needs.

Some WG in HK at the end of their shifts have even taken me out to karaoke or dinner and insisted on paying. I paid my HK$500 to her and she was like, I'm hungry, are you?  We ended up going to the corner place on **********, some place named King's something, heck she even helped me wrap my sesame thingy.  The bill came out to over 300 and she insisted on paying, kinda weird.  She said she needed the company before going home to feel a bit more like a girl. Before we parted, she gave me a peck on the cheek and even thanked me.  Some of them have genuinely turned out to be quite nice people.

The danger of sinking ship (falling for the WG or WG falling for client) works both ways though! Elsewhere there are also mentioned social meet ups not just punters either.

The thing to watch out for in HK and TW are if she mentions a shopping trip and kinda expects you to pay for it. A mention of that and I'm out of there.

Though a TW WG did come over to stay at my place in the UK for a massive shopping trip she bought a bunch of her extremely attractive WG friends as well. Apparently it is cheaper in the UK and they all paid for themselves. Never again! 5 women staying for a week in my semi and not being able to use the bathroom from 7am-10am daily and 6pm onwards. The 'compensation' I'm not sure was worth it after hopping about wanting a pee and all the toilets were occupied.

Plus in many ways punters are the easiest group of guys for them to hang out with. Primarily because we know their circumstances and aren't going to judge them for it.  If a WG were to pick up a civie bloke then she'd be left with the dilemma of telling him or not and explaining her life which I guess some men may take badly.
